SYMPHONY X Bassist To Guest On New RIVERA BOMMA Album

September 8, 2009

SYMPHONY X bassist Michael LePond has recorded a guest appearance on several tracks on the upcoming third release from RIVERA BOMMA, the New Jersey-based Christian hard rock band featuring guitarist Rod Rivera and vocalist/keyboardist John Bomma. Entitled "Angels & Demons", the CD will be made available on Retroactive Records in late 2009 or early 2010.

Commented RIVERA BOMMA: "Listening just to the backbone of these music give us the chills. Can't wait for the world to hear it!"

According to the band's official bio, RIVERA BOMMA plays a mixture of traditional hard rock and melodic American power metal — at times a hint progressive, due to the presence of majestic, but subtle keyboards. Rod and John have written some epic anthems which they perform over pulsating rhythms, revealing the influences of their 70s heroes, such as DEEP PURPLE and RAINBOW. The power and range of John Bomma's voice is indeed comparable to an Ian Gillan or Ronnie James Dio, whilst Rod Rivera Is a guitar virtuoso parallel to Ritchie Blackmore or Michael Schenker, occasionally also shredding Malmsteen-style, as well as playing some dazzling Latin Flamenco guitar."
